The Power of Words
The words that you use are so incredibly powerful...are you paying attention to what you are saying or thinking?
Last night, I was laying in bed warming my ice cold feet on my husband's legs. (He is always hot so he actually enjoys this.) Because I would hate if someone did this to me, I had the thought "If I were him, I would hate me!"
"I would hate me?!!” I caught this right away and thought "oh this is interesting....Would I hate me? Do I have some hidden self-hatred somewhere down deep?"
There was a time that I hated myself but I thought I was long past that.
And then with a little help from my hubby, I realized that my thought was untrue. What I meant by the thought was, If he did this to me, I would hate IT.
Very subtle difference in words but HUGE difference in meaning.
When you have the power to choose your thoughts carefully you have the power to control your feelings, actions and outcome.

Here are 3 quick tips to help you watch the words you are choosing:
Imagine your words are like seeds that you plant. If you have been following me for awhile you will know that I speak a lot about the law of attraction. This means that the words that you say and think are constantly having an effect on your current reality so if you choose words as though they are seeds of plants you want to harvest, you will grow what you want.
Be mindful. Stop and think about what you want to say and the message you are looking to convey. Sometimes we can get wrapped up in just wanting to speak but take a second to choose your words wisely.
Choose higher energy words. Instead of responding with “I’m good”, choose words like “I’m doing great!” Even reading that probably feels better. Choosing words such as brilliant, terrific, incredible, fantastic creates more energy within and around you.
It’s important to recognize how powerful the words we are speaking truly are.
